Are Kathy Warden and Simone Biles Connected?
No. We checked company filings, official biographies, wire reports and 2026 news for both names. Nothing places them in the same interview, campaign, event or business arrangement. One works in boardrooms and defense contracts. The other works on gym floors, in brand partnerships and on NFL sidelines.
Still, readers usually want more than a flat no, so here are the three questions people ask most.

Are They Related?
No family link is documented. Warden grew up in Smithsburg, Maryland. Biles was born in Columbus, Ohio, and raised in Spring, Texas, after her grandparents adopted her. Nothing in either biography overlaps.
Have They Worked or Appeared Together?
No shared appearance is on record. In 2026, Warden’s public activity centered on earnings calls, SEC filings and an April podcast about leadership in a changing security environment. Biles spoke at the Forbes 30/50 Summit in Abu Dhabi, joined Laureus events and cheered at NFL games.
Does Northrop Grumman Sponsor Simone Biles?
None is documented. Biles’s 2026 partnerships were announced openly. Laureus welcomed her as an ambassador, and Mandarin Oriental named her its first Global Wellness Ambassador. | Shared public event | None documented |
| Joint interview or project | None documented |
What Has Not Been Verified
Treat any page or post as unreliable if it claims a family tie, a Northrop sponsorship, a joint project, a private meeting or a photo of both women together. One image placed beside another proves nothing. Absence of a record also does not prove the two have never crossed paths at a big public event. It only means nothing documented supports a story.
With that settled, the real value lies in knowing each woman’s actual record. We start with the executive.
Who Is Kathy Warden?
Kathy Warden runs one of the largest aerospace and defense companies in the United States. She has held the CEO and president roles at Northrop Grumman since January 1, 2019.
Early Life and Education
Warden graduated from Smithsburg High School, earned her bachelor’s degree at James Madison University in 1992 and completed an MBA at George Washington University in 1999. A Yale leadership program that honored her noted that she was the first in her family to go to college.
Her age is a common question. Her birth date is not officially disclosed. Wikipedia lists 1970 or 1971, which would make her about 55 or 56, but treat that as unconfirmed.
Career Path to CEO
Her climb was not overnight. Before Northrop, she held leadership roles at General Dynamics and Veridian, worked as a principal at a venture internet firm and spent nearly a decade at General Electric.
She joined Northrop in 2008 and moved from running its cybersecurity business to leading the Information Systems and Mission Systems sectors. Then she became president and chief operating officer and led the Orbital ATK integration.
On July 12, 2018, the company announced she would succeed Wes Bush as CEO effective January 1, 2019. The board elected her chair effective August 1, 2019.
Leading Northrop Grumman Today
Momentum is the headline. On October 20, 2026, Northrop reported third-quarter sales up 7 percent to about $11.1 billion, earnings of $7.89 per share and a record backlog near $109.6 billion. Management raised its 2026 earnings guidance to $29.35 to $29.75 per share, after lifting sales guidance to $43.75 billion to $44.25 billion in July.
The caution is margins. Operating margin slipped to 11.4 percent from 11.9 percent, and the company said its outlook assumes no prolonged government shutdown.
Boards and Recognition
Warden serves on the Merck board, chairs the nonprofit Catalyst and became chair of the Greater Washington Partnership in January 2024. She also sits in the Aerospace Industries Association and the Business Roundtable, and she has served on the Department of Homeland Security’s Artificial Intelligence Safety and Security Board.
Her honors include the 2022 Deming Cup and the Yale Legend in Leadership Award. On Fortune’s Most Powerful Women list, she placed No. 20 in 2023, No. 25 in 2024 and No. 68 in 2025.
Kathy Warden Salary and Net Worth
Salary is the figure you can verify. Her 2024 total compensation was $24,359,199, about 222 times the median employee’s $109,782.
A newer disclosure followed. On August 19, 2026, independent directors approved a one-time performance-based grant with a target of 35,910 market stock units. Payout ranges from 0 to 150 percent depending on stock performance through December 31, 2031.
Her net worth is not disclosed, and the numbers floating online lack filings behind them, so none is printed here.
Now to the athlete, whose record is easier to measure.
Who Is Simone Biles?
Simone Biles is an American artistic gymnast whose medal count has no equal in the sport. She started gymnastics in 2003 and won her first World All-Around title in Antwerp at 16, in 2013.
Early Life and Family
She entered foster care as a child before her grandparents adopted her in 2003. That background makes her later advocacy for athletes and young people feel personal, not promotional.
Career, Records and Olympic Medals
Biles won four golds and a bronze at Rio 2016, stepped back from several events at Tokyo 2020 because of the twisties, then returned at Paris 2024 for three golds and a silver. Her totals are the most by any gymnast in history, and the list below shows how far ahead she stands.
Records and medals at a glance:
- 11 Olympic medals: 7 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze
- 30 World Championship medals: 23 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze
- 41 combined Olympic and World medals, the most of any gymnast
- Six world all-around titles, the most by any woman
- Four golds at Rio 2016, tying the record for a female gymnast at one Games
- Four golds at the 2014 Worlds, first woman to do that since 1974
- Oldest women’s Olympic all-around champion since 1952, at age 27 in Paris
- Most decorated American Olympic gymnast, passing Shannon Miller
- Five skills named after her
- Presidential Medal of Freedom, 2022
Tokyo 2020 and the Twisties
At Tokyo, she withdrew from multiple events, and a Team USA coach said the problem was mental, not physical. The moment changed how many fans and athletes talk about performance pressure. Biles has since become a leading voice on mental health in sport.

Simone Biles Husband and Family Plans
Her husband is Jonathan Owens, a safety who signed a one-year deal with the Indianapolis Colts in March 2026 after playing for the Cardinals, Texans, Packers and Bears. They met on Raya in 2020, got engaged in 2022 and married in 2023.
Biles has been a regular at his games. She attended the Colts’ season opener against the Ravens on September 13 and flew to London for the October 4 win over the Commanders, 30 to 13. She skipped the September 20 trip to Kansas City after attending every game in 2025. She and Owens would like to have a family someday.
2026 Work Beyond Gymnastics
Her off-the-mat schedule grew this year. She joined Laureus as an ambassador, visited a youth sports programme in Milan in February and attended the Laureus World Sports Awards in Madrid on April 20. She also spoke at the Forbes 30/50 Summit in March.
Health Update, June to July 2026
On June 6, she posted that she had nearly died earlier that week and called it one of the scariest experiences of her life. A July update followed, but no diagnosis has been confirmed publicly, so none is reported here.
